Our Goal: Ten years from now American Jewish University’s two campuses host the largest Jewish arts and creativity incubator in the United States, inspiring the Jewish community and harnessing the richness of Jewish thought and civilization. Artists, leaders and community members come from across the country to participate in multidisciplinary programming, while local communities seek out the Institute for Jewish Creativity at AJU for its expertise in creativity, spiritual and cultural Jewish experiences, intergenerational learning and world-class arts festivals. 

 

The Institute for Jewish Creativity (IJC) seeks to address three needs within our community:

 

  • To integrate Jewish artists into the larger Jewish communal context

  • To provide attractive cultural programming that appeals to Jews of all ages and works to strengthen their Jewish identities; and 

  • To encourage artistic contributions that help to create an authentic, thriving American Jewish culture
